FAQ
Questions at the atelier
Engagement models, budgets, timelines, AI policy, data handling and what we explicitly do not do — answered in plain Singapore English.
Is BrandFlare Co a life-coaching / wellness brand, a fake-engagement boost shop, a distress-flare / lens-flare product, an income course, or does it guarantee follower growth?
No. We are a B2B brand systems and identity atelier. "Flare" means making a brand read as one clear mark through positioning, voice and visual systems — not literal flames, not a marine or distress flare, not a solar flare, not a camera lens-flare effect. We do NOT sell followers, bots or fake engagement, are NOT personal life coaching or wellness, and are NOT an income course. "Co" means company; the .pro TLD is branding only. We use AI-assisted research with human creative judgment and do not guarantee follower counts, market share or sales figures.
How do project and retainer engagements differ?
Projects have defined scope, deliverables and timelines — a positioning sprint, identity build or research pack. Retainers provide ongoing brand governance: quarterly reviews, asset stewardship, drift correction and office hours for ad-hoc questions. Many clients begin with a project and move to a retainer once the system is live. We scope each model in a written proposal after discovery; nothing is open-ended without agreement. Project fees are typically invoiced in milestones; retainers are monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed.
What are typical budgets in SGD?
Research sprints: SGD 8,500–18,000. Positioning projects: SGD 18,000–45,000. Verbal identity: SGD 22,000–52,000. Full visual identity programmes: SGD 55,000–120,000. Content direction: SGD 15,000–38,000. Governance retainers: SGD 4,500–12,000 per month. Ranges are indicative from past engagements, not binding quotes. Final fees depend on scope, stakeholder rounds, language variants and timeline. We provide a written estimate after discovery — never a one-size quote on a landing page.
How long does discovery and delivery take?
Initial discovery calls take 45–60 minutes. Written proposals follow within five business days. Project kickoffs typically occur two to three weeks after agreement. Research sprints run two to four weeks. Positioning projects six to ten weeks. Full identity builds ten to sixteen weeks. Rush timelines are possible but may affect fee and the number of review rounds we can honour without compromising quality.
Which platforms and tools do you use?
We choose tools per engagement — research, design, documentation and asset management platforms vary by client infrastructure. AI research tools are disclosed in proposals. We do not require clients to adopt specific SaaS products. Platform choices for your marketing remain yours; we advise on brand fit and governance, not vendor lock-in. We do not display unauthorised Meta, Google or other partner badges.
How do you handle client data and creative assets?
Client materials are stored on secure cloud infrastructure with access limited to project team members. We treat brand assets, research data and correspondence as confidential. PDPA-compliant handling applies to personal data submitted via forms or during engagements. Sensitive materials are not uploaded to public AI models without explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for retention periods, cross-border processing and your access rights.
What is your human-in-the-loop AI policy?
AI accelerates research, variation exploration and documentation drafting. Strategists and designers review every AI-assisted output before client delivery. We do not auto-publish on client channels, do not guarantee AI-generated performance, and do not replace client teams with automated content pipelines. You may request disclosure of which tools were used on your engagement. Human creative judgment is required for all brand decisions that ship externally.
What do you explicitly not do?
We do not sell followers, bots or fake engagement. We do not guarantee ROI, viral reach, follower growth or sales. We are not life coaching, wellness retreats, income courses or push-notification software. We are not a distress-flare, lens-flare or pyrotechnics business. We do not claim partner status unless formally accredited. We do not fabricate case studies with named clients or present invented metrics as guarantees of future performance.
Who owns creative work and reports?
Upon full payment, clients receive agreed deliverables and usage rights as specified in the project agreement — typically full ownership of final identity assets and licensed use of research reports. We retain the right to show anonymised work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing. Confidential materials are never shared without consent. Pre-existing methodologies and templates remain our property.
